Pastor's Corner
The wind of God's Spirit is beginning to blow across our church and our community. Prayer is taking on new life as we seek His face in light of I Corinthians 2:4,5
"My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power."
What Paul means by "a demonstration of the Spirit's power is clearly seen in chapter 6, verses 9-11. After listing a number of ungodly activities as evidence that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God, he goes on to say:
"And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."
Glorious transformation! It can only come about as a clear demonstration of the power of the Holy Spirit to convict, save, and sanctify.
With that passion for God to work His wonderful transformation in the lives of friends and loved ones, we have invited the Heberts to come from Sparwood, BC and share how Christ met their need and continues to do so. Check out News and Events for more information.
